Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service.
YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR A DISCOUNT ON YOUR MONTHLY CHARGES FROM DIRECT COMMUNICATIONS.
 
 
The Lifeline Discount is a federal program that provides a monthly benefit for home or wireless phone or internet services to eligible households. The Lifeline Discount will lower the cost of your monthly charges by up to $9.25 per month.
 
There are two ways to qualify:
 
You could qualify if a member of your household is on a government program such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, SSI, etc.
 
Or you could qualify if your household income is at or below 135 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.
