Job Summary

As an outside sales representative, you will engage with potential customers in targeted neighborhoods in Eagle Mountain Utah, focusing on a non-subscriber list to promote and sell our high-speed internet services. Your primary goal is to convert leads into subscribers by building trust, addressing customer needs, and effectively communicating the value of our services. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Utilize a provided non-subscriber list to identify and approach potential customers in assigned territories.
  • Direct Sales: Conduct door-to-door visits to present and sell internet service packages, tailoring pitches to meet individual customer needs.
  • Customer Engagement: Build rapport with prospects, answer questions, and address concerns about internet services, pricing, and installation.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of our internet plans, features, promotions, and competitive advantages.
  • Follow-Up: Track leads and follow up with potential customers to close sales, ensuring a smooth handoff to the installation team.
  • Reporting: Document daily sales activities, including customer interactions, objections, and outcomes, using provided CRM tools.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies, local regulations, and ethical sales practices during all customer interactions.
  • Territory Management: Plan and organize daily routes to maximize efficiency and coverage within assigned areas.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous sales experience preferred, particularly in door-to-door or direct sales; telecommunications experience is a plus but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse customers.
    • Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Basic negotiation and persuasion skills to close sales.
    • Comfort with technology to demonstrate product features and use CRM tools.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in sales/marketing are a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate various terrains, and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Other:
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate customer schedules.

  • Base Pay: Competitive hourly rate.
